I used to date the "bad boys!" I also had my heart broken by one of these. He would look at other women, took advantage of my older age and having more cash, etc. Cindi

Shame on him! Bad boys have a lure that's hard to resist. Having them take our cash can certainly put a damper on the relationship though! And looking at other women. How uncouth!

The Villain that we love to hate for me was SNAPE...how JK created such a dispicable character...who we all wanted to love and mother...was beyond me...but that's it...we women love the bad boys and know we can make them GOOD!!!

I think we all love a rogue. The type of guy you are tempted to try and redeem. What makes a villian unredeemable is one who is abusive to women and/or children. Those are the type of villians you want to end up dead so they can't hurt anyone anymore.

My heroes can at least be a litte bad,(I know there will be a HEA!) I have enough of nice guys in real life, brothers and brothers-in law! In romances I like them to sweep me away!

Everyone love bad boys because we like to think we can tame them. I would like to see a villainous hero with redeemable qualities.

I agree with Eva about bad boys, and also Zulmara. Snape is a great character--as is Will Scarlet in the Robin Hood movie with Kevin Costner.
