Being a writer, I thought this was very apropos.
Well, school starts next week. We got the letter yesterday telling us which teacher my daughter will have for the fifth grade. She and her friends were on the phone discussing who will be in whose class, and whether or not they'll like this unknown teacher--this was not the 'easy' teacher my daughter prayed all summer she would get. I tried not to laugh, but she saw through me. I'll have to make it up to her by telling her teacher to go easy on her this year. Not!
