August 29 Day two with Melissa
I've have the pleasure of knowing Melissa for about four years. Having a friend like her is a unique experience. heh heh. She's kindly passed on messages from spirit guides and a few people who have passed from this life. I'm a believer in psychic phenomena, but it's startling when it stares you in the face from only inches away.
It's easy to believe in something--from far away. Life on other planets? Of course! This universe is too big for us to be the only life. Beings who exist in other dimensions? Why not, when string theory theorizes up to 32 dimensions! Buckaroo Bonzai move over! But what happens when we see a UFO? How about an other-wordly visit? Suddenly, we start sleeping with the lights on. When a psychic accurately details things that no one could possibly know, you stop and think.
What is psychic phenomena, and do you think you have experienced it?
Any questions for Melissa?

LOL Tarah.
I hope people have questions! Ask away! I believe that psychic phenomena is intuition, knowing things that we shouldn't know, getting feelings that may or may not be our own and hearing whispers from our guides. Psychic phenomena is a little different that paranormal phenomena in that you're not directly dealing with hauntings etc but both things are all under the umbrella of what I call metaphysics.
So, let's try to jumpt start this a bit. Has anyone every had an experience that you were sure about? If you have and would like to post about it here then I'll be happy to give you feedback on it from a clairvoyant point of view.

Hi Melissa, I love anything to do with the afterlife, especially the psychic aspect. But I can only imagine how hard that must be for someone like you who truly understands what they are hearing and seeing. You have my utmost respect! I consider myself a very spiritual person. I have always had experiances where I have known that something was WRONG before it was ever confirmed. Anytime I close my eyes I see people, unknown to me but people none the less. I've always had the feeling that I have a calling, a higher purpose though I have never realized what that is. So for me, psychic phenomenon is intuition, a pull towards something or somewhere that you couldn't possibly know about. A strong feeling that you cannot deny. Your books sound fabulous!

Thanks Andrea! You know, after too many years to count, you get used to it. It was difficult for me to accept but I finally have and I have to say that once you do it makes life a lot easier. LOL
You're empathic and that's why you feel things more than others. Those people you're seeing are a combination of your guides and spirit that want to give you a message to deliver to someone. I sense that is your higher calling. The next time you see that, focus on one face and ask what the message is and see what happens. I sense you'll have a thought run through your mind - pay attention to it becuase that's the message. Now you probably won't know the people they want you to contact so here's what you do. You close your eyes and search for an area - like looking on the globe, then you say the message out loud (or you can do it telepathically when you're ready) and send it to that area of the world. Put a lot of positive energy and white light behind it and it'll get to the correct person. They'll sense it as a "knowing" of the message.
I hope that helps.

Melissa

I once saw a ghost when I worked at an elderly care center. I was quite young, so it scared the daylights out of me. My question is how can a clairvoyant tell the difference between 'true' voices and imagination?

What a great question!

One of the ways you can tell the difference is the way it feels to you. If you see something than you can't deny it. It's right there in front of your face in plain view. With clairvoyance and clairaudience (hearing things) it's a little harder to tell the difference but once you do, you'll always know. For me, the "vision" or "impression" feels as if I'm watching something play out of a television set or watching scenes from a movie in "live action shots". I used to see a black and white fuzzy screen in my mind's eye and then the impression would stop and the fuzzy screen returned. My guides used that as a tool to help me understand the difference because I was young. I no longer see the fuzzy screen around impressions because I know the difference now.
With prophetic dreams, I dream those differently. In my book Night Visions, my heroine experiences prophetic dreams by watching them from above. It's the same with me. I know they're going to come true when I feel like I'm in the dream myself and watching it all happen from a place above where the dream is happening. I pay attention to those dreams because I've never had one not come true.
I suppose the easiest way to tell the difference is that a "true" experience will feel like it's coming from a place outside of yourself and imagination is internalized. Here's an example. I could be daydreaming from here until tomorrow and know it's only a daydream because I feel relaxed and like I'm thinking. But then say someone's guide needs to tell me something and interrupt my daydream. Then that guide's voice would feel like it's coming from outside of the place I'm in during the daydream. It would probably be loud enough to pull me from my thoughts so that I'd pay attention and receive the message. Then I'd deliver it pretty much right away because I've found when I don't, they hang around and keep telling it to me until I do.
So that's how it works for me. I hope this has helped. If it's not clear, let me know and I'll clarify.

Melissa

I was curious about this ghost. What did you see, Jordan?

Yes, definitely...we always had a special connection with our mom and she could tell when something was seriously wrong with us even if we were on the other side of the world. She would also answer questions that we hadn't spoken out loud.

Don't you love that? I have a couple of very close friends who are like that with me. We're saying what the other is thinking or answering unasked questions. Evan and I, when we collaborate, often come up with similar plot twists, and even character names! It's rather unnerving.
I can be thinking about Melissa and she'll call. I'll tell you a good one. Once, she and I were talking on the phone, just shooting the breeze, and she abruptly had to go-don't remember why, her other phone rang, or something. She called me back about fifteen minutes later and apologized for having to go so abruptly, then asked me what the question was I wanted to ask. It took me a minute to realize the question was one I'd posed in my head a few minutes after she'd hung up! ROFL. Of course, this happened fairly recent, so I've grown accustomed to her 'knowing' these things--sort of, anyway. heh heh.

LOL I remember that! I'd gotten another call that I needed to take and then called you back. But it was all good though. I'm like that all the time, can't help it. LOL Sometimes I say things and don't even realize I'm picking up on thoughts instead of words until the person says, "I was getting ready to ask you that!"

She's right, she is like that all the time! HA! She is constantly answering questions I'd considered asking, but am still mulling over. For me, when that happens, I know I'm supposed to listen.

LOL - what can I say? Oh I know, I'll quote a song - "Can't help it, the girl can't help it!"

The one that sticks out most in my memory happened when I was about 3 or 4, I was by my dad in the kitchen saying good night and turned to look down the hall and there was this big man standing in the doorway to my room. He took up the whole doorway and he looked like a cross between Hagrid from Harry Potter and Rupert from survivor. I've never forgotten that one.
We used to have an answering machine in the kitchen that would sizzle every night at 1 am, which was really unnerving. Never liked to be alone down there when that started up. The volume could be all the way down and it would just roar to life.

That just gives me the shivers to hear.

Those are very cool experiences. Spirit can often affect electrical appliances, cell phones, phones and other electronics. For me, if I'm not paying attention and they want my attention they blow my light bulbs.

Yikes on the lightbulbs! I think that would freak me out
