Double Bang! Reviewed at Sizzling Hot Romance Reviews

So few people are what they portray themselves to be anymore. At least the men in Sara’s life are all hiding big secrets! Some good, some really bad, but none are what they seem…and the gun in Devon’s pocket isn’t just for a nice cliché, but Double Bang! may start a new one (cliché, that is).

Sara Martin has worked for J&R Ltd. Import and Export for two years. Finding million dollar rare antiques from around the world for discerning and picky customers seems a lucrative business. And it had better be since money is all that the owner, Bradley Jackson, really cares about as fare as Sara can tell. So when she finds a subtle but noticeable security break in the expensive computer system she works with, she knows there is a big problem. But she never would have guessed it involved her sexy co-worker Devon.

Devon Curran had been on the job for two months. He managed to get hired on at J&R Ltd. and even got his rootkit program in the computer system undetected. His partner, Rigg, moved in next door to Sara, as part of tracking down who was involved in Jackson’s illegal operation verses his legit business. They are both relieved when they figure out she has nothing to do with his criminal activities. But she managed to get a texted out to Jackson before Devon learned that she found his tracking program. Now they have to find out if their whole undercover operation is blown on the night it is planned to catch not only Jackson but other people as well! And they have to convince Sara they are the good guys here, not Jackson. All while Devon and Rigg are both wanting Sara, who has been fighting her own attraction to both of them as well.

Double Bang! is a hot little read. While some reality is lacking in that even undercover cops are not likely to take someone straight to a hotel for sex in the middle of a takedown (I mean, come on: much more convincing to show up at the precinct and safer for a potential witness), it makes for a great read. The background setup is easy and quickly established and one can really feel the pull the characters have for each other in Double Bang!. The differences in Devon and Rigg characters makes for good police partners, especially undercover ones. I liked that that Sara recognizes that she is attracted to these differences in Devon and Rigg yet doesn’t claim love for both of them. And I felt the ending was perfect.

Double Bang
! is a little tame for KyAnn Waters (I haven’t read any of Tarah Scott”s works) , but really good for a quick read! Of course, this is a spicy, sexy story (m/f/m) with just a hint of danger thrown in. Double Bang! made a perfect bedtime story for me.
