A Knight of Passion Reviewed at Night Owl Reviews

Lady Riana Ellis will do whatever it takes to protect those she loves. Whatever the cost to herself, she is willing to pay it, to keep her sister protected. She even whores herself out for the Duchess of Arundel, in a bid to keep her young sister from the Duke's bed. Now the stakes are even higher- the Duchess wants Riana to kill a man. Riana agrees, so that in the melee, her sister can escape undetected. Unfortunately, the wrong man comes to her bed that night. She does not attempt to kill this knight, but disposes the poison and kicks him out of the room. Sir Bryant Cullen, the knight who comes to Riana's bed, knows that she is a font of information and the fact that she is beautiful is a nice boon. He determines that he will wed her and bed her at his earliest convenience. When the escape plans for Riana's sister are thwarted, she must trust Bryant and believe he can help her sister out of their current predicament.

While short, Tarah Scott packs a punch in her story. There is some political intrigue, raunchy smexing and fighting that occurs in these pages. I appreciated the lengths that Riana went to in order to protect her younger sister. I also appreciated the fact that Bryant knew and understood what Riana went through and that she wasn't content with her lot in life. Overall, a very satisfying read.
